Music Composition/Audio Production
…eats up the bulk of my time outside of work. On occasion I’ll pick apart a Beatles tune on my acoustic; other days I write my own. I have been known to go on walks with my H4 zoom field recorder and record random stuff that sounds interesting to me; I’ll then bring it in to ableton live and arrange tracks or sound explorations. Sometimes I use the recorded sounds to make large sound libraries for later use. When I am feeling the itch to perform, I’ll play LivePA style, tweaking knobs and pushing buttons with my KP3 and EH pedal setup. Some days I play whatever is near me (drums, ukulele, synths, organ, thumb pianos, etc.); or I’ll just listen to records for enjoyment.

I’ve been experimenting with the live manipulation of effects in Motion 3 with the use of external midi controllers.

Drawing
…is a skill I am trying to gain back. It was my first artistic skill, and now I’ve nearly lost it because of my extensive use of mouse/keyboard.

Cinema/Photography
I have a Nikon D40 and a cheap handheld HD 1080p video recorder. I’ve been drooling over the Canon EOS 5D Mark II.

Foosball
I am a bit obsessive about foosball. I love the creative aspect of the game. I treat moves/shots like modular, interchangeable blocks that can be combined to create complex contiguous combinations. Recently I have been honing in on my rollover (snake/monkey) shot, in an attempt to raise my scoring percentages during competitive play. I play in tournaments sometimes, and I am currently in a league.
